Giving Back

Shortly after purchasing the condo, we came across several local businesses who were involved with a charity called Little Pink Houses of Hope. Little Pink Houses of Hope (LPHH) was inspired by a breast cancer survivor in 2009, who realized that patients and their families needed a respite from the realities of cancer - appointments, busy schedules, burdensome healthcare bills. The charity provides week-long free vacation rentals to families affected by breast cancer. As this is something our family unfortunately has experience with, we decided Little Pink Houses of Hope would be a perfect fit for us to give back to our community.

Each year LPHH plans retreats in several locations across the United States, including Emerald Isle, which has allowed us to donate our condo for one week each summer for a family to enjoy. Unfortunately we discovered the charity too late to participate in 2022, but we were able to gift a family time in our home in August 2023 and we had a wonderful experience. LPHH even hosted a photo session for the families, and we received a handwritten thank you note with a photo of our family.

So, why share this? We want all of our guests to know that with each stay they’re helping us give back to our community in a way that means so much to us. Thank you for visiting our home, and thank you for allowing us to share our home away from home with others.
